RONGOTEA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, July 17. The Oroua Downs basketball team visited Rongotea this week, when they were beaten by the home team by 35 goals to 9. Misses Joan Jarvis, Isabel Thompson, Ena Dalgcty, E. Sim, J. Cotton, J. Proctor, P. Gray and J. Christensen represented the Downs', while Mesdames W. A. and G. Davison and Misses E. Knox, W. Amies, M Fraser, P. Teaz, J. Eades, J. George, and O. Bottchor played for Rongotea. lho game was very one-sided, the Oroua Downs centres keeping lhe ball too much in the centre. Miss Jarvis was particularly good on tho long shots, but. tho outstanding player was Mrs W. A. Davison, who gave a wonderful exhibition of goal-throwing, lho game was refereed by Mr A. C. Eades.
