MAN FOUND DEAD.

Per Press Association. HASTINGS, July ‘JO. The discovery by county roadmen of an unattended motor loiry on the Elsthorpe Road yesterday led to the finding of the body of Douglas Reid Alackav, married, aged 37. of Havelock North. Alongside the body was a rifle. . Yesterday morning the roadmen saw the lorrv a'nd later made inquiries, establishing its ownership. They informed Atr -T. Henson Steel, a brother in-law of Air Maokay, who went to the scene to view the lorry. He then searched for Air Afackay and eventuallv found the body lying in a patch of'scrub just off the roadside.
