MILSON AERODROME.
COMMERCIAL COMPANY’S TERMS
Following a conference of the interested parties, the Palmerston North City Council, last evening, adopted recommendations, as to the terms tor the „ se of land and buildings at Mi Ison aerodrome bv Union Airways. Ltd. The report to the council from the conference stated that there bad been present the Mayor (Mr A. E ford), who had presided, anc Messis H. E. Edmunds, D. F. ,Sinillie, the H E. Edmunds, D. F. Smillie L. G. Chamberlain, and tlieir solicitor, Mi a at Onteley, representing the Mnnawatu Aero Club; Messrs Clark and White (representing Union An - wavs of New Zealand Ltd.), the city solicitor (Mr H. R. Cooper) and Mi A H Manson. . . ~ Following consideration of matters concerning the period of lease and rental etc., to be paid by the company, it had been resolved, subject to the approval of the council, to recommend: P “1 That the city grant, the Union Airways a five years’, license of the area comprising the M.lson aerodrome at a rental of £250 per annum, subject to revision at the end of the first two years in. the event of any additional service controlled by the company using the aerodrome hut not to apply to the Palmerston Nort h-Auck-uf’d service, such rental as above to ‘over the use of the land occupied by - th ®2 ha Tl7at.' subject to the license, tM company he granted at a rental of £lO the exclusive use of three rooms of the administrative budding, nnd the use of the room occupied by the pilots, and the use of the barometer and scales installed ip the building. “V That the company he granted ri"ht of renewal of the for a further period of five years, subject to conditions to be agreed upon. The recommendations were adopted.
