(From Our Own Correspondent.) MILSON, May 29. There was a good attendance at tlie Milson i-iali on . Wednesday evening, when the friends of Mr and Mrs S. Barclay, of Muntieal Street, entertained them at a farewell evening prior to their departure for laihape. The evening, which was convened by the members of the Ladies’ School Committee, was occup ed with dancing and games, the duties of M.C. being carried out by Mr C. Ferguson. A travelling parcel which was hold p-oved to be an ornament, which wont- to tlie guests. Mrs (J. Gailesen, chairman of the Radies’ Committee, referred to the good work done by the departing guests during their residence, and wished them health and happiness in their new borne. An elocutionary item was given by Mis* Joan Barclary. Extras lor uancmg were supplied by AJns F. Alurphv, Mrs W. Eden and Mr Pritchard. A A!ante Carlo waltz wne won by Air L. Alorlcy and Airs Summers. Among these present were Air and Mrs Barclay, Mr and Mrs Curtis (Ashhurst), Mr and Airs Tyack, Mr and Airs Price, Air and Airs Bennetto, Air and Airs Ferguson, Air and Airs Rasmussen, Air and Airs Taylor, Mr and -Alit DaVies, Air and Airs Gumming, Air and Airs Bowden, Mr and Airs Buhner, AJcsdamos Brydon, Eden, Sefton, . MudgWay, Summers, Gastel, Callesen, ' Thompson, Pepper, Proebstel, Alurphy, Eairbaiirn, Field, Feehan, Oliver, Johnston, Misses J. Barclay, M. Barclay, Pritchard, Pepper, Fraser, E. Davies, Maureen Lla.ies, Arui'jorie. Uav.es, McLennan, Gumming, Batten, Messrs McCormack, Barclay, Pritchard, Al. Reid, D. Reid, A. Rod, W. Fenton, C. Fairbairnn, Robbie, Bulmer, and Morlev. An apololgy for absence was received from Air F. Alurphy. Mr and Airs Barclay and family left for Taihape by the express on Thursday. d srhoM eommeneerl the new term with a roll number of 117,. there being eighty new enrolment*.-' '-There were no changes, in the teaching staff. All- and Airs Brewer and family, of Kakahi, have taken up their residence in Cambridge Street, Air Brewer having born transferred to Palmerston North by die Railway Department.
