CONVERTS SHOT.
REPORT FROM ABYSSINIA. LONDON, April 8. The News-Chronicle says that Italy has expelled six British missionaries from Addis Ababa. No reason lias been given. Two have reached London and the others are in Djibouti. It is alleged that Italians have shot three of the mission’s leading Ethiopian converts and have banished between 40 and 50 students to various towns and villages. BRITISH PROTEST. (British Official Wireless.) Received April 10, 11.48 a.m. RUGBY, April 9. Tho Britisli Ambassador at Rome will take up strongly with the Italian Government the expulsion from Abyssinia of six British missionaries who, on March 22, were ordered to leave within eight days . IMPORTANT CHANGES. BALBO’S NEW POSITION. LONDON, April 8. Tho Rome correspondent of tho Daily Telegraph says it is stated in military circles that tlie Prime Minister (Signor Mussolini) has decided that the Governor-General of Libya (Air-Marshal Italo Balbo) will replace the Viceroy of Abyssinia (Marshal Itudolfo Graziani) at Addis Ababa. It is also reported that the Secre-tary-General of the Fascist Party (Signor Achilla Starace) will replace Air-Marslial Balbo as Governor-Gen-eral of Libya.
