MEETING OF BEE-KEEPERS.
MOVE FOR UNITY. Bee-keepers in Palmerston North, numbering 14, met recently for the purpose or discussing matters of mutual interest, co-ordination for the general advancement of their knowledge and the organisation of field days in season. A group of bee-keepers from Feilding, representing the National Bee-keepers’ Association, were in attendance and one of their number. Mr W. O. Short, was elected to the chair. Various matters were discussed and the proposal advanced that those present join the National Bee-keepers Association, that suggestion eventually being approved. Mr A. W. Just spoke in appreciation of the action of the Feilding beekeepers in attending, and also expressed thanks for an offer made by them, to visit Palmerston North lor the purpose of holding an evening gathering for the benefit of Palmerston North bee-keepers. Such an offer merited a good attendance. Mr Just said.
