MANAWATU CENTRE. POST-SECTION PLAY. After conditions had been very unfavourable Tor (lie first round, there was a distinct improvement in the weather when the next two rounds of post-section play were decided yesterday aiternoon on the Northern green to determine the semi-finalists in the Manawatu Centre’s Easter rinks tournament. The green, however, was very heavy. Games were restricted to 17 heads each, owing to the late start which had been made. Additional results are as follow: (Second Round.) Rabone’s rink (Palmerston North) won the Marlborough centre s Easter bowling tournament, which coneluded this aiternoon in brilliant weather, defeating Anuiigs Marlborough rink in the final. 26 12. NELSON FINAL. Per Press Association. NELSON, March 30. In the final of the Nelson bowling tournament Stephenson (Nelson) beat McMahon (Maitai) 16. DUNED IN TOURNAMENT. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN. March 30. The rinks championship at the Easter bowling tournament, which concluded to-day, was won by the West Harbour rink, skipped by A. I ortman, who defeated Seddon (Caledonian) m the final by 21 points to 18 The singles was won bv O. E. Tyrrell (Roslyn), who defeated AY. Carswell (laien) in the final by 21 to 18. In the final of the pairs. Jefferson (Stirling) defeated Longworth (St. Kilda) bv 19 to 18.
