Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Alarch 30. Canterbury University College won the New Zealand University tournament shield for the sixth successive year in the annual tournament, which concluded to-day. AVith only the lawn tennis events to be completed, Canterbury already had a useful, lead in points for the tournament shield and it practically scooped the pool in today’s tennis. Three of the five titles were won by Canterbury, and there is an all-Canterbury final in yet another event.

Only in the mixed doubles has another college (A’ictoria) any chance of scoring points. Two points are allotted for each of the five titles and one for the winner of the tennis cup. AVith two tennis points still, in doubt and another to be allotted for an uncompleted athletic event, the position in the competition for the tournament shield is: Canterbury 29, Otago 18i, A T ictoria 16J, Auckland 8.
