AWAHURI.

(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) AWAHUIII, March 27. A very pretty ceremony was performed by Rev. W. Berry in the church at Awahuri, on Thursday evening, when the infant children of Mr and Mrs C. Hickford, of Kohinui, Pahiatua, and formerly of Awahuri, wore baptised into the church. Mr Berry made the service very beautiful and realistic, pointing out the privileges and duties of all who came in contact with the “lambs of the flock” to do their utmost to help them in the spiritual and temporal life. The names bestowed upon the children were Roger Russel and Reta Dorn.
