Sheep worrying is at present causing causing considerable loss and annoyance to farmers in the Whakatane, district. Last week two farmers suffered losses, one having seven good ewes killed on one of his properties, and another having five killed and two badly worried. Maori dogs are blamed for the depredations, and there is little hope of recovering financial losses.
