YOUTHFUL STOWAWAYS.
Received February 20, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 19. John Green, aged 19, and a youth of 16 were charged with stowing away from New Zealand aboard the Rangitane. It was alleged that they were troublesome and were handcuffed. They walked ashore at Jamaica, when it was found they had filed the handcuffs through with a knife. Green was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment and his companion was sent to a remand home.
