FAREWELL EVENING.

Mrs D. Pearce and Mrs Russell Darragh were the conveners of a little dance held in the Women’s Division rooms on Saturday evening in honour of ’ Miss I. Dummer. who leaves on February 8 for a holiday visit to Sydney. Mrs Pearce welcomed the guests, being gowned in black floral georgette, and Mrs Darragh wore a beige and brown early Victorian frock fashioned of taffeta, with which she wore a smart brown taffeta jacket. Miss Dummer chose a girlish model of pale pink organdie. Large bowls of hydrangeas in blue and pink shades ornamented the rooms. A beautiful bouquet of pink and blue flowers, made by Miss Joan Hillman, was given Miss Dummer by Mrs Pearce, and Mr Pearce on behalf of the gathering then presented her with an initialled suitcase, for both of which gifts she thanked the donors. Mr T. Collins, as an old friend of the family, voiced the sentiments of all present in wishing Miss Dummer a very happy holiday. Mr Dummer made a suitable reply. Musical honours were accorded Miss Dummer.

Among the guests were: Mr and Mrs A. F. Dummer, Mr and iris T. Collins. Misses A. Page, J. Billmah, D. Burgess, if. Thompson, H. Wilson, K. Coles, V. Barltrop, N. Desmond, S. Duffy, A. Castles, A. Clarke, C. Andrew, V. Whisker, Cope, and N. Burke.
