MOSCOW TRIAL.

EVIDENCE CONCLUDED. TRAIN WRECKS EXPLAINED. Received January 28, 1.5 p.m. MOSCOW, Jan. 27. Sergi Sedov, the younger son of M. Trotsky, is reported to have been arrested on the charge of attempting to poison follow workers in the Krasnoyarsk machine factory by neglecting to provide an outlet for fumes from the generators. A nephew of Zinoviev, named Zak, employed in the same factory, is also reported to have been arrested.

Both men Were denounced at a mass meeting of factory workers. Giving evidence at the Moscow trial, Turek declared that he had perpetrated forty major train wrecks in the last three years in order to convince the authorities that they were accidents, the responsibility for which was often shifted to innocent persons, some ot whom were arrested and shot.

Ivan Grasche, in evidence, said he came to Russia in 1920 as a professional spy paid by the Czechoslovakian intelligence and transferred to the German Intelligence in 1932. This evidence concluded the case, which was adjourned till to-morrow, when M. Vishinsky will sum up. JAPAN TO PROTEST. “FARCICAL TRIAL.” Received January 28, 1.5 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 27. The Times Tokio correspondent says the F'oreign Office spokesman describes tiie statements at tne Russian trial as fantastic.

“They testify to the farcical nature of the trial. Japan will take appropriate steps to protest against the trial.”
