SERIOUS SITUATION. ACTIVITIES OF JAPAN. BRITISH M.P.’s CONCERN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received December 19, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 18. Mr Morgan Jones (Labour), speaking in the foreign affairs debate in the House of Commons, drew attention to the gravity of the Far Eastern situation. He said Japan had overrun China, despite the League. The JapaneseGerman agreement had more sinister designs than were made public. A Geneva message says the former Premier, Mr Wang Ching-wei, has left for China. He has been asked to become the Cliinese Premier.

GENERAL’S ORDERS
NANKING, Dec. 17. Following a report that General Chiang Kai-shek had forbidden the Government to start hostilities against his captors, the Government announced that orders allegedly proceeding from General Chiang Kai-shek will not be recognised while he is not a free agent. Military preparations are poceeding.
