WEDDING.

POOLE—DUNCAN

St. Paul’s Church, Feilding. was the scene of a very attractive wedding on Wednesday night, the contracting parties being Olive Jessie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Duncan, South Street, and Francis William, son of Mr and Mrs F. C. Poole, Owen Street. Rev. A. L. Dixon officiated, and Mr A. E. Matheson was at the organ.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a charming gown of ivory georgette and lace. Tiny buttons finished the close-fitting sleeves, lace insets and a crystal clasp adorned the corsage; while godets of lace and a lace-trimmed train were charming features of the skirt. She also wore silver shoes, and her embroidered veil of tulle was held to her head with a Juliet cap of orange blossoms, while tho flowers she carried were sweet peas, carnations and roses in tones of palest pink.

Lo've-in-the-mist blue georgette was worn by Miss Joy Duncan, who attended her sister as bridesmaid. The elbow length puffed sleeves were finished with pleating, as also was the round neck and basque. Silver sandals were worn, and a bandeau of blue velvet flowers, with touches of silver, was worn on her hair. A bouquet comprising sweet peas carnations and roses in pink tones was carried.

Mr K. J. Toye, of Palmerston North, was best man. The Feilding Pipe Band; in full Highland dress, as a compliment to the bridegroom (one of the oldest members;, piped him and the bride from the church to the reception. Mrs Dun can received her guests wearing _ a navy marocain frock spotted with white. Her navy marocain coat was finished with pleated frills, and her hat and accessories were of a matching shade. A posy of carnations and roses in wine shades was carried. Mrs McNeil (grandmother of the bride) wore a brown floral r'erocain ensemble and a brown hat. Miss Agnes Duncan, sister of the bride, wf\ frocked in floral silk crepe, and her picture hat was of beige 6traw. Miss Winnie Poole, sister of the bridegroom, wore a smart silk frock and a beige coat with matching accessories. The duties of toast-master were efficiently carried out by Mr Fifield. After the reception, many of the guests visited Mr and Mrs Dunca.n’s home to view the many beautiful wedding gifts. When Mr and Mrs Frank Poole appeared for travelling the lab ter was wearing a smart tailored suit of nigger brown, a peach pink blouse and brown hat and accessories.
