RE-NAMING TERRACE END.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —I see by a report in your journal that that live body, the Terrace End Progressive Association, has invited suggestions for the re-naming of Terrace End. J suggest, Mr Editor, with all sincerity, the name “Nashville.” Whilst I personally do not agree with the political views of Mr J. A. Nash, which are immaterial in the present case, anyway, I would not be so narrow and ungenerous as not to recognise the fact that Mr Nash, as a citizen of Palmerston North, has been a live and exemplary one, and well deserving of the honour I suggest. 1 think his greatest political opponents will agree with me on that score, and after ail, we can differ, and still be kind.—l am, etc., W. F. CUTLER. 39 Ada St., Palmerston North.
