SPANISH STRIFE.
WARNING TO BRITONS. EMBASSY MAY WITHDRAW. Received December 5, 11.40 a.m. MADRID, Dec. 4. Mr Ogilvie Forbes (British Counsellor) has warned Britons that the British Embassy may receive orders to withdraw. People remaining may have cause for regret. The insurgents claim to have consolidated the whole of their positions on the capital’s western sector. An insurgent gunboat intercepted and escorted a Russian steamer to Ceuta.
