TRIP TO NEW GUINEA.

AMERICAN SCIENTIFIC PARTY. NEW YORK, Nov. 28. The yacht Chiva, under the command of Mr Frederick Crockett, a former dog team driver with Rear-Admiral R. E. Byrd in the Antarctic, and a small party of scientists have sailed for Dutch New Guinea to study the natives.

The party is working under the auspices of the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences.
