PAHIATUA.
PAHIATUA, Nov. 27. Mrs S. K. Sidclells, who underwent an operation for appendicitis in a private hospital, is progressing' favourably. The Ruawhata School pupils recently entertained the Mangatainoka schoolboys with whom they combined so successfully in (lie primary school football contests. On behalf of his schoolmates, H. Fergus presented Mr W. A. Bond (headmaster of Mangatainoka School) with a pocket wallet, at the same time thanking him for the splendid manner in which Ho had coached the team. Later in the afternoon the boys played games undet the supervision of Mrs H. McQuilkin. On December 2, the Pahiatua Bowling Club will meet the Woodville Club and will endeavour to win the junior pennant at present held by that club. The Pahiatua Club will also defend the senior > uahine Pennant. The rinks aro as follow: Senior: Siddells, Cosford, Petersen, and Hocld;’ Hagen, Rawson, Pilkinton, and Kershaw. Junior: Taylor, White, Fox, and Gregory; Fouhy, Braggins, Ross and O’Sullivan.
