GIRL PARACHUTIST.
DEATH MOURNED IN TURKEY. Every schoolgirl in Turkey recently observed a two minutes’ silence in memory of Bribe Hanum, aged 18, the first Turkish girl to be killed by parachuting. . , The occasion was the anniversary ot the foundation of the Turkish Republic and a memorial is to be erected on the site, symbolising the courage of Turkish girls. A pilgrimage is to be made annually to Eribe Hanum s grave.
