NOTE ISSUE INCREASING. DAIRY ADVANCES HIGHER. WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. Tho weekly statement of assets and liabilities of tho Reserve Bank of New Zealand as at tho clbec of business on Monday, November 16, is as follows; LIABILITIES.
Proportion of reserve (No. 7 Ices No. 5) to notes and other demand liabilities, 76.141 per cent, compared with 78.353 per coat on November 16. There has been a further increase of £111,630 in tlie note issue, which now totals £11,797,867. Demand liabilities to tho State have decreased by £60,708, tho total now being £3,547,767. Tho trading banks’ reserve balances show a further large increase of £956,657, and now amount io £9,872,481. Other demand liabilities at £136,82'. show a decrease of £458,014. Other liabilities at £ll3, HO are lower by £849. On the assets side advances to the State dairy industry account total £4,403,056, an increase of £668,596. Sterling exchange at £16,503,794, shows a decrease of £130.305. Gold is still unchanged at £2,801,788. Subsidiary coin totals £128,176, a doorcase of £14,922. Advances to tho Slate for “other purposes” remain unchanged at £700,000. Investments total £2,337,517, an increase of £25,086. Other assots at £93,795 are up by £261. Tho statement balances at £26,968,127, an increase of £548,716.
