NOTES.
The standard roses in the Monument Square gardens are beginning to show signs of flowering, while at present bods of ranunculi are flowering profusely. Additions to the Feilding abattoir buildings have been completed and an extra floor space of 900 square feet is available for the handling of stock. The additions principally afford further accommodation for killing of pigs. In the killing room the wooden girders have been strengthened with massive steel girders. A wool company is erecting a building in Feilding at present which will have a floor space of 24.000 square feet. . . A reminder is given regarding the Feilding branch of the British Music Society’s concert, to-night, in the Parish Hall. "With excellent local talent participating, there is every indication that the function will prove most successful. Music lovers should not tail to be present to-night, when a musical treat is assured.
