PAINFUL ACCIDENT.

TO POHANGINA RESIDENT. A painful accident befel Air Rink, an employee of Mr Ramsdon, of Ngatutaki, Pohangina, on Wednesday. While riding a horse in some soft ground the animal slipped down aa incline and dragged the rider with it, inflicting severe injuries to Mr Rink in the region of the groin. Air Rink was brought to the Palmerston North Hospital and operated on yesterday. His condition was reported to be fair to-day.
