Damages amounting to £l6O were awarded by Mr Reid, S.M., to Mrs Caroline Thomas, who claimed £OOO from the North Canterbury Hospital Board.

airs Thomas claimed that when a patient in the Christchurch Hospital she was badly burned through a hot water bottle being placed on hex thigh while she was unconscious. The board had paid £IOO into Court.
