FEILDING SALE.
The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., roport on the Feilding cattle fair as follows: —All classes of cattle came forward in good numbers, except grown bullocks, which were in short supply. Owing, no doubt, to feed not yet being too plentiful, bidding, except for bullocks, yearlings and good females, was inclined to drag. A feature of the sale was a line of well bred I’.A. 2-yr heifers submitted pn account of Messrs Dalrymple Bros., which were knocked down to Mr Jos. Webb, of Taihapo, at £9 12s fid, this being the biggest price paid thi6 season for this class. The yearling I’.A. steers offered on account of tho E. Riddiford Estate, Oroui Station, easily topped the market, the various lots selling at £7 13s, £7 7s and £7 ss. Dairy stock were easier in price. Beef and store cows, ex-dairy, made late latcs. A good yarding of sheep mot an animated sale. Fat sheep showed a recovery in prices, while all good sorts of hoggels were fully firm at late rates. Store sheep: W.f.w. hoggets, 20s, 21s bd, 22s 3d, 24s 3d, 25s 6d, 25s 9d; b.f. hoggets, 18s 6d, 19s 3d, 20s, 21s 6d, 22s 9d, 23s 3d; ewe hoggets, 25s 6d, 28s 3d, 30s fid, 32* Bd, 355, 38s, 38s 6d; owes (with lambs at foot), 17s, 17e 6d, all counted.
