TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY.

The Terrace End Bowling Club was the scene of a jolly party on Saturday night, to mark the 21st birthday of Basil, son of Mr and Mrs Weston J. Smith. About 00 guests spent a bright evening. Mr K. Beals carrying out the duties of M.C. There was a pleasing ceremony when the guest of honour was presented with the traditional gold key. by his father. Patricia Dale, a pupil (if Miss June Scott, gave pleasure with tap-dances, Miss Scott being at the piano. Mr C. Frew, of H.M.S. Achilles, also gave an enjoyable talk. Music was supplied by courtesy of the Woskett Radio Co., and extras were played by Miss Eunice Smith and Mr B. Stewart. The guest of honour received many handsome presents.
