TWO GREAT AIRMEN.
PROPOSED MEMORIAL The Sydney Water Board, at a meeting, approved an application by the Australian Flying Corps for permission to erect a memorial to the late Sir Charles Kingsforcl Smith and Mr C. T. P. Ulm on an elevated tank at present used ior the Vaucluso water sup--1,1 it was stated that the tank would he surrounded by a large gilded globe, supporting the replica oi an aeroplane. The water system would not bo interfered with. There would also be an enclosed garden at the loot of the structure. Alderman Movely, M.L.A. who placed tho proposal before the board last April, said that the memorial would be the most outstanding of its kind in Australia. The Vaucluse water tank, on the heights above Rose Bay, was now a landmark for the whole oi Sydney, and would form an ideal place lor the proposed memorial.
