SCRATCHINGS ANNOUNCED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 16. The following scratchings are announced for the Avondale meeting:—Bantry (3 p.m.), Quadroon, Candico, Sardius and Philemup for the Champion Hack Plate; Fhilemup for the Henderson Handicap; Red Ledger for tho Avondale Stakes; High Test for the Swanson Handicap; Royal Secret at 3 p.m. for the Flying Handicap; and Merial, Court Arina, and Clessamor for all engagements.
