WOMEN MINISTERS

As recently reported in the official organ of the Reformed (Calvinist) Church of Alsace-Lorraine, a woman theologian, Mile. Bertsch, has for some time exercised the functions of minister in the Alsatian parish of Steinselz-Rott to tho entire satisfaction of her parishioners, among whom she is very popular. Another woman minister has just been appointed in the South of France, in charge of the parish of Sainte-Croix-Vallee Francaise, in the Department of Gard. As far as we have been able to ascertain these are the only two women exercising the functions or the ministry of a church in France.
