. LONDON, Sept. 12. Friday’s closing prices for raw materials were as follow, those for September 4 being shown in parentheses:— Cotton.—Liverpool quotation, good American middling, spot, 6.99 d a lb (6.70 d); October delivery 6.61 d a lb (6.26 d).
Rubber.—Bara, 10R1 a lb (same); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 7 11-16 d a lb (same).
J ute.—September-Octobor shipment Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £l7 3s 1-jd (£l7 7s 6d).
Copra.—Septemher-October shipment South Sea to London or Rotterdam, £l3 1/s 6cl a ton (£l3 10s); smoked*“to Marseilles or Genoa, £l3 os a ton (£l3 2s 6d); plantation Rabaul, to London or Rotterdam, £lss a ton (£l4 12s 6d).‘ Linseed 0i1.—£29 5s a ton (£2B). Turpentine.—39s 3d a cwt (39s 9d).
