There was an excellent attendance at the fortnightly euchre tournament, held in the Anglican Church Hall on Tuesday. The winners were as follow:—Ladies, Mrs Holland 1, All's W. Ilill consolation; men, All' O. P. Hills 1, Air Ackerman consolation. The opportunity was taken to present Mrs Maboy with a crystal salad bowl. Mrs Alabey. who has been president of tho Ladies’ Guild for some months, will shortly be leaving Longburn to take up her vest deuce at, Trentliain. In making iho presentation. Air G. C. Hills expressed the regret, of members at her leaving, and wished her every success. Air J. Paul, senr., is spending a holiday as the guest of Air and Mrs CJ. C. Hills, of “Hillcote,” Awapnni. Miss B. Zureher is spending a holiday with friends in Napier. Airs 15. Osborne and family have left Longburn to lake up their residence in Palmerston North. Mr and Mrs Brockliss and .family will shortly he leaving the district to take up their residence in Reefton.
