Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 18. Butchers have been advised by wholesale suppliers that the price of mutton will be advanced by Id per pound as from Monday. It is understood there is a short supply of stock coming forward and that phenomenallv high prices are being paid for sheep in country districts, the high prices ruling for wool being one of the reasons for this.
