VISIT TO ASHBURTON. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON. Julv 19. The Minister of Education (Hon. P. Fraser) had a. busy day in Ashburton inspecting the hospital and the High School farm, and receiving deputations on local concerns. In regard to the long-discussed matter of the amalgamation of the high and technical schools. Mr Fraser said it wa.s a conimonsense proposal, and now certain difficulties had been removed he hoped the hoards would take action. The Minister was welcomed by the Mayor, and left in the afternoon for Wellington.
