LADIES’ GUILD.
CUBA STREET METHODIST CHURCH.
Mrs P. J. Aleller presided over the monthly meeting of the Cuba Street Methodist Ladies’ Guild, which was held yesterday afternoon in the girls’ Bib o class room. There was the usual good attendance. The president welcomed members and visitors.
Songs contributed by Aliss Pauline AlcKain were heard with pleasure, tho accompaniste being Afrs G. G. Haneox. \ almai Dalton contributed recitations which were warmly received.
A “bring and buy” stall, in charge of Mfr.du.nies A. Ferguson and T. K. Hodder, was briskly patronised. .Sympathetic reference was made to the illness of Mrs Whitehead, who has now returned from hospital, and the bops was expressed that she would make a speedy recovery. Mrs Meller -also expressed regret that Mrs Chowen was unable to be present owing to an indisposition. Mrs’ Meller proved the winner of a competition. Afternoon tea was served under the direction of Mesdames Meller, F. Hodden and J. H. Pedersen.
