A GAME DISPLAY. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received July 4, 12.15 p.m. 'LONDON, July 3. Perry offered to allow Gramm to leave the court for treatment when lie strained a thigh muscle in the singles final, which the German gamely refused. Perry then seemed momentarily doubtful whether to relax his pressure or complete the match as soon as possible. He quickly decided on the latter course and, though there was no method of comparison, Perry’s form was convincing enough to suggest that he would have won in any case.
The osteopath attending Gramm says he is unlikely to be fully fit. in nine days’ time. When Perry noticed that Cramm was limping he gallantly suggested that he should see a masseur, but , Cramm played gamely on and at the conclusion tlie umpire, at his request, announced what had happened. The doubles final will be the first allEnglish final since tlie AVer.
