Those winning prizes were: —Ladies’ first prize, shared by Mrs Puklowski, Mrs O’Donnell, and Airs Ashwin; consolation, M : ss T. Newcombo; men’s first, Mr Wolfcsbauer; consolation, Alastor E.

Newooinbe. After supper, i ’cmg was indulged in, a professional orchestra supplying the music. Mr Hiliiar, who has been the guest of Mr and Mrs C. Tunnicliffe, lias returned to his home in Patea. The weather, during the past few weeks, has been very i* settled. A strong gaJe was experienced on Sunday evening, but no damage was done.
