RONGOTEA, June 20. An enjoyable party was held in the Ranger room on Thursday night, the occasion being the birthdays of three Rangers, Misses R. and N. Davis, and jl. Ail'd. The Guidge committee were also present. ’Hie winners of a competition vere Alisses D. Richfield, J. Fades, Al Fraser, and W. Amies. Supper was served with the birthday cake in a prominent place. Airs C'a.verliill (president) then asked Mrs A : rd to accept a gift with best wishes for a good trip from the committee while a presentation was made to Miss Aird by Mrs R. Scott on behalf of the Rangers. The guests were accorded musical honours. (Airs Aird and Aliss B. Ail'd are leaving shortly on a trip to Scotland). Among those pres-lit were Mcsdamos Caverhill, Scott. Bower. Fraser, Aird, and Davison, Alisses M. Davison, E. Knight, A. Claascn. 11. and W. Parker. C. and D. Richfield, J. Fades, J. Caverhill, .1. Bower, A. and M. Fraser. W Amies, L., N.. and R. Davis and B. Aird. There was no senior Rugby match in Rongotea to-day. Rangiotu learn failed to put in an appearance and the game went to Rongotea. by default. The Rongolea juniors played at Oliakea. At halftime the score was 6 to 3 in favour of Oliakea, but 'n the last sno'l Rongotea were more vigorous and the fual points were: Rongo**- 12: Oliakea 6. For thp winners Galyer scored two tries, onc_ of which was converted, and J. Duke kicked a field goal. RONGOTEA, .Tune 21.
