OTTAWA PACT.

CANADIAN AGREEMENT. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 16. In a Parliamentary answer to-day the President of the Board of Trade, Mr Walter Runciman, announced that preliminary discussions with a view to revision of the Ottawa Agreement with Canada would begin shortly. The Association of British Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of British Industries, and the National Union of Manufacturers, as well as bodies representing particular indus-. tries, had been invited to furnish observations to the Board of Trade. Mr Runciman added that the question of similar consultations with industry in connection with a possible revision of the Ottawa Agreements with other parts of the Empire did not arise at present.
