STUD SHEEP.
THE SYDNEY SHOW. SYDNEY, June 17. The stud sheep show opened to-day in fine weather. The judges were impressed by the splendid quality of the exhibits. _ The New Zealander, Mr Donald Grant, was unsuccessful in the Corriedale classes, the chief prize-winners being C. E. and H. F. Prell, who obtained the champion and reserve champion awards for Corriedale rams. Mr Grant, however, obtained first prize for a Border Leicester ram under one year. Mr A. S. Elworthy, Tnnaru, secured second prize for a Southdown ram under one year. Mr Elworthy also won first prize for a Southdown ewe, one year or under, and second prize for a pen of two rams. There was keen competition in British breeds and Southdowns made a particularly fine display.
