I Mrs Innes, of Palmerston North, is! the guest of Mrs A. Marsack, Ventnor j Road, Remuera, Auckland. Mrs D. W. Vile, of Kelvin Grove, ' is improving after her recent opera-1 tion, and ha 6 returned to her home, | her friends will be pleased to learn. Miss Molly McKenna, of Lombard Street, has returned home after spend- 1 ing a holiday with her aunt in Christ- j church. Miss Rita Jensen left Wellington last Wednesday on the Remuera for London on a combined business and pleasure trip. _ | Mrs A. Levy, of King Street, is at present an inmate of a private has-, pital, and her friends will wish her a j rapid return to her usual good health. Mrs F. Grotrian, of Ashhurst, is visiting Wellington, where she is the guest of Mis Warwick Blundell, of Hobson Street. A large number of residents gathered in Pahiatua on Wednesday to do honour to Miss Phyllis Mills on the occasion of her approaching marriage to Mr R. Russell. Music was provided by Mr P. Jackson and dancing was carried on until a late hour. Mrs W. H. Murch, Miss Mabel Hirst and Mr J. Paul provided extras. Mr E. H. Lett called on Miss Mills to open the many beautiful presents which she had received. Mr Russell thanked those present for the fine gifts, and particularly Mesdames M. Paget, T. Paget, Chinnery and Bowden, who had' given the kitchen tea. Mr Russell and Miss Mills were accorded musical honours. The rest, of the evening was spent in dancing.
