RELATION TO THE PRESS. Received June 10, 11.55 a..m. LONDON, June 9. The Empire Press Conference devoted the afternoon to a censorship debate, following an admirable address by Mr Kenneth Andersen, the legal expert of Associated Newspapers, outlining a Bill designed to place libel on the same basis as slander and which limited the scope of the “gold digger.” The conference passed a resolution urging that Britain and the Dominions legislate on the matter as nearly identically as possible.
