ANNIVERSARY OF DEATH. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 10. This morning on the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Hon. R. J. Seddoii, members of his family placed a wreath on the statue in the grounds of Parliament Buildings, and many admirers paid silent tribute during the day. The Premier (lit. Hon. AT. J. Savage) issued a statement to the Press paying a. tribute to the great statesman whose memory will always serve, he said, as an inspiration to New Zealand. He said it was the Government’s aim not merelv to carry on where *Seddon left off, but to carry his humanitarian and economic achievements to still further heights. He was confident that we were now entering a similar period of economic and social progress.
