BOXING
REEKIE BEATS IVAIDE. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. May 26. A professional lightweight boxing contest between Kid Reekie (Australia) and Ginger Waide (New Zealand) went only two rounds and a-half, Reekie knocking Waide out with a right hook to the head. Reekie had scored well with right hooks and jabs in the first two rounds. The bout was scheduled for 10 rounds.
