COMING-OF-AGE BALL

The attendance at the coming-of-age hall held at Mangamutu last Wednesday night was excellent. Visitors were present in large numbers from Palmerston North, Masterton, B'annevirke and Waipawa. The takings for the evening exceeded £45. The chief feature of the programme was the music, which was supplied by an orchestra from Hastings. Mr P. Jackson contributed an extra.. Messrs D. O’Brien and E. Lett acted as M.C.'s. Tlie function was voted by all present to be the best staged in Pahiatua 4 his year.
