BOUSSUS IN FORM. ~PARIS, Mav 16. In an international match on the eve of the French championships, France is leading England seven games to three. Boussus beat Perry, 6—4, 6 —B, 6 — -2. Destremeia.il beat Austin, B—6.8 —6. 6—2. Borotra and Bernard beat IV ilde and Hare, 6 —3, B—6. Hughes and Tuckey beat Lcgeay and Feret, 6—2, 6—2. Perry, in the third set, repeatedly netted, his backhand and was unable to deal with the severely cut returns of Boussus. Destremeau fairly outplayed Austin, acutely angling speedy returns. DAVIS CUP MATCHES. ELIMINATION PROCESS. LONDON. May 16. Results of the Davis Cup matches are : In the second round at Dublin, Ireland beat Sweden by four matches to one. . . At Dusseldorf, Germany eliminated Hungary by winning tlie first three matches. . . . At Montreaux. Switzerland eliminated Denmark, winning the first three matches. In a match at Oslo, Belgium beat Norway by three matches to two. AUSTRALIAN TEAM. PRACTICE ARRANGEMENTS. GERMANTOWN (Pennsylvania), May 16. All arrangement was announced today whereby the Australian and American tennis teams will use the courts on which the Davis Cup match will be played at the end of the month on alternate days, starting on May 25, to accustom them to the lawns. C. Sproulc, manager of the Australian team, was assured that there would be no spying by American scouts. . . The Australians continued practice to-day. McGrath’s blistered finger is healing satisfactorily.
