HOSPITAL ESTIMATES.

CONSIDERATION POSTPONED. Notification was received by the Palmevston North Hospital Board, yesterday afternoon, from the Department of Health, that the latter had concurred in the meantime with the inclusion of the financial provision for the capital proposals in the board’s estimates for 1935-36. The department, however, reserved the right to request the deletion of all or part of the proposals before the estimates were approved by the Minister, should" the circumstances require it. Advice was received that consideration would be given to the board’s request to add an additional storey to the administration block in course of erection after the Loans Board had dealt with the application to borrow money. Owing to the illness of the manag-ing-secretary having caused a postponement, the board decided to hold a special meeting at the Hospital on May 4 to deal with the estimates for the coming year.
