WAITUNA WEST.
(From Our Own Correspondent.! WAITUNA, April 20. On Saturday afternoon the Huntorville senior football team played a friendly game with the local team. After a very strenuous game Huntervilld won, 14-5. The game was witnessed by a large crowd of spectators, being tho first of tho season. The visitors werfr later entertained at a dinner provided by the local ladies. Mr and Mrs T. Patton, of Rongotea, and Airs A. C. Leicester, of Tangimoana, were the guests of Mrs C. A. Leicester, Waituna West. Mr T. Mavhew is visiting relatives in New Plymouth district. Air and Mrs J. Anderson and family, of Palmerston North, wore visitoi-s at \\/tituna West during tho week-end. Miss Gallus, of the Karitane Home, Wanganui, is visiting her mother, Mrs Gallus, Waituna Wost. Miss L. Mnyhcw spent the week-end at Tawcra, Stanway. The Wanganui Education Board’s staff, who have been executing repairs at the school and teacher’s residence, have now finished tho work. Mr R. Smith was the guest 'of Mr Buchanan, “Mayfield,” Cunninghams, during the week-end.
