YOUNG PEOPLE’S PARTY.

Organised by Misses M. Luxmore (Kiwitea) and L. Hair (Kimbolton). a gay party of young people assembled at "the residence of Mr and Mrs Edward Bun-ell, Kimbolton Road, on Friday night. The young hostesses were tireless in their efforts to ensure the success of the function, and there was! no doubt as to the favourable issue of their efforts. Dahlias and 'autumn leaves made tasteful decorations in the various rooms, while the supper table was adorned with roses. Both the din-ing-room and drawing-room were used to dance in .and, apart from a wireless pick-up, extras were played • by Messrs M. Pirani and A. Evans. Cheers were given for Mr, Mrs, and Miss Burrell and the two hostesses. Miss Luxlinoore received the guests in a frock j of pink taffeta and Miss Hair was in creme taffeta with touches of gold lame. Miss 'Bun-ell, for whom the party was given, was wearing a frock of rose stiffened net over taffeta. Those present were: Mr and Mrs Edward Burroll, the latter gowned in black taffeta and lace; Mesdames Hair (Kimbolton), H. C. Luxmoore and Stewart. In a party from Palmerston North were Misses Yvonne Rapley, Joan Gaisford, Mona Rodgers, Marrie and Leone Ireland, Anette Hannay, and Messrs N. Rodgers, J. Ireland, T. Young, L. Spen- ( eerandß.
