WANGANUI RANGER’S VIEWS. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, April 13. Mr W. Storey, ranger of the Wanganui Acclimatisation Society, who has returned from stalking red deer m the Putara Valiev, in the Tararua Ranges, has brought back samples of native trees damaged by deer. He states that the damage in this respect is enormous, and does not hold out much hope of ever exterminating the deer.
