(From Our Own Correspondent.) SANSON, April 13. The annual meeting of the Sandon Miniature Rifle Club was held on Thursday evening, when Mr W. J. Jenkins presided. A motion of sympathy was passed with tho relatives of tho late Messrs F. W. Tostevin, J. F. McKelvie and S .S. Sharp, members standing in silence as a tribute of respect. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The election of officers for the new season resulted as follows Patron, Mr W. A. Lumsden: president, Mr K. M. Pearce: vice-presidents, Messrs A. K. Drew, P. M. Gedye, W. J. Jenkins, J. Fagan and E. Green; secretary and treasurer, Mr P. Gedye, junr. ; assist-ant-secretary, Mr Keith Lumsden; coaches, Messrs W. A. Lumsden, W. J. Jenkins and Ken Lumsden; selectors, Messrs K. M. Pearce, Ken Lumsden and J. C. Fagan: official markers, Messrs R. and Keith Lumsden, R. Meyer and P. Gedye, junr. : executive committee; the patron, president, vice-presidents and Messrs B. Masters, M. Pearce and IC. Henson; hon. auditor. Mr C. P. Good; delegates to the M.M.R.A., Messrs K. M. Pearce, J; Fagan and P. Gedye, junr: target officers, Messrs R. Oppatt and K. Henson; social committee: Messrs Ken and R. Lumsden, R. and F. Meyer, M. Pearce and H. Henson. The question of affiliation was discussed fully and it was deeded to affiliate with the New Zealand and Manawatu assoications. It •was resolved that the club purchase the ammunition necessary and that member; he charged Is per night. It was resolved that the system of self-handicapping be continued with for, tho ensuing season. Mr W. J. Jenkins informed the club that he would present the buttons for Jhe ycai and that Mr Nash had offered to present a cup for competition within the club. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded thesr gentlemen. A vote of thanks was also accorded Mrs P. M. Gedye. who had presented the buttons for the previous season. The allocation of the Nash Cup wa left in the hands of the president, secretary and Mr J. C. Fagan. The fixing o! the opening night of the club was loft in the bands of the president, and the secretary was instructed to purchase 5000 munds of ammunition. It was- decided that the club forward a letter of sympathy with Mrs C. B. Tostevin in her recent sad bereavement. The secretary was granted an honariurn of £2 2s. It was resolved that the club purchase miniature cup 6 to go with the cluh championship runs and it was decided that the winners of the past two years be oresented with one each
